Questions business owners actually ask.
Straight answers including the ones you’ve typed into Google at midnight and the one you’ve been saving for the call.
Money and timing
How much does a rebrand cost?
Honestly? It depends on what the discovery finds and we’d be guessing to quote you before it, so we don’t publish a rate card. We talk money openly and early on our groundwork call instead, real numbers, no dancing around it. What we can promise in writing is this, you’ll know exactly what it costs before you commit to anything and you’ll never find a surprise on an invoice. If budget’s a genuine worry, say so on the call (we’d rather know than have you sit there doing quick maths instead of listening).
How long does a rebrand take?
Three weeks. First conversation to launch-ready, one streamlined piece of work, and yes, we know that number raises an eyebrow after everyone else quoted you “three to six months, depending”. Very Elle Woods of us, honestly… Everyone assumes it can’t be done properly, right up until it’s done properly. The reason it works is unglamorous, we only do this and we do it for a small number of businesses at a time and the discovery happens thoroughly at the start instead of expensively in the middle. A decade of reading this industry buys a lot of speed without a single corner cut.
The right fit
What if I just want a new logo?
Then we’re probably not your studio (and we mean that kindly). A logo without the reading underneath it is a very nice shape, it’ll sit on your window looking lovely whilst saying absolutely nothing, kind of like a guest who came just for the canapés. Our work starts with the discovery, or it doesn’t start. If a refresh is all you need right now, a good freelance designer will serve you better and faster (and we’re happy to say so).
Do you only work with health, beauty and wellness businesses?
It’s home turf and after 500+ brands there we read this space fluently… the client psychology, the competitive sameness, the exact shade of beige everyone lands on when they’re nervous. If your business sits just outside it, bring it to a groundwork call anyway. The right fit is about the story and some of our favourite work started with “we’re a bit different, is that okay?”
We're about to open a second location. Is that rebrand territory?
Very often, yes… it’s one of the most common moments business owners come to us and usually the question underneath it is whether the brand you have can carry the business you’re becoming. A brand that’s been coasting on your personal reputation meets its moment the day you’re not physically standing inside the second location. That’s exactly what a groundwork call is for (it’s a much cheaper way to find out than opening the doors and hoping).
The call
What happens on a groundwork call?
You talk, we listen, then we ask the kind of questions that make you go “huh, no one’s asked me that.” What you’ve built, what’s changed, what’s next, which part of the business you’d defend in an argument and which part you’ve stopped mentioning. No pitch, no design talk, no pressure. By the end we’ll both know whether this is the right fit, and if it’s not, you’ll still leave with more clarity than you came with.
Where are you based?
Brisbane, Australia, working with businesses Australia-wide, across New Zealand and beyond. Rebrands travel beautifully… the distance changes nothing about the care, the reading or the number of questions you’ll get asked (Let’s unpack it petal. Bring water.)
